how you use it
Documents, in order.

Upload once; visitors see pages, not your file
Office and OpenDocument files are rendered to page images at upload, so the original bytes only leave when a link allows download. Versions keep their own object; any version can be made primary again and the link keeps working.

Make the link do the gatekeeping
Expiry, a password, an email gate, allow and deny lists by address or domain, download on or off, a welcome message. Public share routes are rate-limited by address and separately per link for password guesses, and a missing, expired or archived link all answer the same 404.

Watch it get read
Each visit records the viewer, the duration, the pages seen and the time on each page; the views table shows a completion gauge per visit and a per-page chart when you open one. You will know which slide they stopped on.

The loop closes with a person
Documents is the surface for people outside your workspace: investors, customers, candidates. The loop here is yours to close: the views table tells you who read, what they lingered on and who asked to download, and a data room with viewer groups gives each of them exactly the folder they should see.
